Nurse Practitioner Board Exam Study Materials
These are the primary resources I used in preparation for the FNP AANP Certification Board Exam August 2021 having graduated June 2021.

Advanced Practice Education Associates (APEA)
During school, we were required to use the APEA predictor exams several times as a metric noting improvement up to graduation. We also were required to complete the APEA On-demand Review in entirety at least once to include the exit exams, where we were furnished with a license to view each video twice. I do not know how it is determined that the video was watched in its entirety, but after watching some of the intro video missing a portion of it while working on something else, I was counted as having completed it and one view was reflected, without an option for rewind; based on this I did not want to miss out on viewing these as each video is packed with content, so I only watched these when I had sufficient time to sit down and take notes. When using review videos, the closed caption option is nice to read along during the lecture to insure better understanding.
On-demand Review is a very thorough review system by system. APEA has been providing these board review courses for some time and Amelie Hollier literally wrote the book (Clinical Practice Guidelines in Primary Care) that many of us use during NP school.
The Live Review provided additional information about practice changes per ACOG and AHA/ACC that may differ from the current exam cycle but important enough to mention during the review. This was a great option after having completed the On-demand review, but had I not first watched the on-demand review fully, I would have struggled to keep up with large amount of material. During this review, questions are numerous, as I took this as a Virtual Live Review, Dr. Kathy was fielding student questions in the chat function while the live reviews continued otherwise we would not have completed all the material.
I will forever remember the mnemonic for murmurs: MR Peyton Manning MVP getting there by use of his ARMS :-)

APEA board reviews are very comprehensive and would be well suited for practice review in addition to board exam preparation. I will be returning to APEA for continuing education needs.
Sarah Michelle NP Reviews
In the weeks leading up to my AANP FNP board examination, I completed the Comprehensive Review Package which includes her In-Depth Diagnosis Course, In-Depth Pharmacology Course, and the Crash Course.
This is a monthly subscription service with unlimited views of videos, with a mobile app access as well.

The Crash Course is board exam prep "in a nutshell"; this is a summary of essentials needed to pass the board exam. If you had to choose just one course prior to exam time, this would be the one.
I was fortunate enough to be a part of two very large on-line Facebook Study groups throughout my FNP program, where a number of students attested to how Sarah Michelle's courses had helped them progress in the clinical as well as didactic course work. My cohort also noted that the Sarah Michelle's Live Reviews were small groups and very helpful in board exam preparation.
Sarah Michelle has an amazing ability to simplify the material in making topics such as COPD and Asthma stepwise treatments easily understood.
FNP Mastery
Web and mobile app with great rationales for board review. The questions are generally more difficult than board exam questions. Very useful to spend time throughout an FNP program and in preparation up to boards.

Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Intensive Review
I bought the book which included a subscription to the question bank which provides great rationales. The book contains review of systems and commonly encountered corresponding diagnoses. I plan on keeping this book in my library as the review of systems is well organized and succinct.
